This may be the best season that Kevin Durant has had so far in his very very very short career in the NBA. It has been outrageous; KD has averaged about 31 points per game in February alone (and the month isn't even over yet), he originally averages 29.9 points per game this whole season making him the leading scorer this season. On top of leading the league in points, he is on a 29 games streak of scoring 25+ points; second in NBA history to do so in one season (Michael Jordan lead with 40 consecutive). He stats in an article with The Oklahoman that he doesn't care for the 25+ points streak, he cares more for a game winning streak. A lot of people may not agree with me on this, but I really do think that KD should be considered for MVP this season. I mean he's kind of like the Dwyane Wade of the team. Don't get me wrong, the Oklahoma City Thunder is a really good team (they are number 6 in the West and 10 in the league), but KD is a really big reason that they are up there. I'm not saying he is on top of his game just yet, but he's on his way. He has a lot more years ahead of him, this is just his 3rd year in the league. To think he's doing all of this in only his 3rd season, just imagine his future.
If he is not considered in the MVP race, then I will be very disappointed (even though LeBron will most likely win). I am really looking forward to see KD break MJ's record..Oh and I almost forgot, for all the people out there that thought KD can't shoot...he is the defending champ of H-O-R-S-E in the All-Star Weekend (you have to know how to shoot for that) and he is like I said the league's leading score and it's not from dunking or free throws (he's kind of too small to be dunking on everyone)
