Plaxico Burress Pleads Guilty

Early today at 10 am, Plaxico Burress took the plea deal and pled guilty and will be serving two years in State prison. He will be arraigned on September 22. It's so sad to hear how it all came about today. Plax came to the courthouse as soon as it opened at 9:30 this morning, and sat in the fifth row of the court room waiting for his turn. He sat quietly with his attorney rocking back and forth. His attorney then went to the judge and they discussed the terms of his plea deal. The deal is that he will be serving 2 years in state prison and two years in post release supervision. Also the judge has stated if Plaxico gets arrested between now and September 22, he will have to face up to 7 years in prison.

The thing that makes mad the most is that when this first started, the D.A. gave him a deal which he would've served 2-5 months in prison and 1,500 hours of community service. But, his dumb self didn't want to serve time in prison which is dumb as hell. Hello did he hear what New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg said when the story first came out. He wanted him to serve the three and a half year or more for this, so we all knew he was serving time like it or not. Not only did the mayor wanted him to serve time, but the D.A. office also wasn't going to let him get out of this without serving some jail time. he should've learned from Michael Vick's and Donte Stallworth's case. For him being so stupid and naive of the situation, he now has to take an even harder punishment that might keep him out of the NFL for the rest of his football career. But, if he does come back still looking good and playing good, then maybe he might be able to come back to the league. the NFL is known to giving second chances to players after serving a couple time.
So, Plaxico will be serving 2 years in prison with a chance of good behavior of only serving 18-20 months and likely to be released by spring of 2011 if he starts serving his time as soon as possible. He is now 32 years-old, so when he is released he will be about 34 years-old; which means he would be as the end of his career. Hopefully he will still be in shape and ready to play when he comes back. He just needs to hope that there will be a team that will take a chance on him, and someone like Tony Dungy in his life when he is released. I only wish for the best for him and hope nothing happens to him prison (don't drop the soap or turn your back at anytime). I also hope the best for his wife and child at home. i know his baby will definitely miss daddy while he's gone. Plax needs to hurry up and serve his time so he can come home to his family, that is the most important thing right now.

Ben Roethlisburger

I didn't really want to talk about this cause every time I do I just get even mad. Okay so we know that Big Ben is being accused of raping a former Nevada casino worker Andrea McNulty. Well according to Big Ben, two days after being handed the civil lawsuit, McNulty sent Ben an e-mail stating that she can't wait til she is at celebrity events siting next to Ben and other celebs.

"Andrea McNulty should abandon her lawsuit immediately and admit that Ben Roethlisburger did not rape her. We believe that the woman's own words directly refute the scurrilous allegations made in her complaint." Said by Ben's attorney W. David Cornwell in a statement e-mailed to the Associated Press.

I am sick and tired of women trying to pull this off on athletes. Women we wonder why man can't trust and respect us. This McNulty chick needs to go somewhere and get a life; I think she's mad cause Ben didn't want her and now she wants her revenge.I know pretty soon this will all be over, you know it's not that serious cause Ben is in Pittsburgh doing his thing and not even worrying about all of this. I say this will al be over before the end of September maybe sooner.

Amber Rose

I found a new interest in Kanye West's girlfriend Amber Rose. She's edgy and sexy, and she looks good in a string bikini. If you don't believe me, then check out this photo of her in South Beach:
For people that don't know who she is and what she does, let me break it down for you:

Amber Rose is a model who was former an exotic dancer. She was featured in a couple of videos such as Ludcris' "What Them Girls Like" and Yong Jeezy's "Vacation". She is a Italian, American , and Cape Verdian descent. She has posed for magazines and done spreads for Smooth magazine and Louis Vitton. She is most known for her relationship with Kanye West, which can I say they are so adorable together. (Kanye, Amber is whole lot better than your ex-fiance, major upgrade).

Don't believe that they look good together, well check this photo out and tell me again you don;t think they don't look good together:

The thing that makes me love her is that she's straight up and she doesn't hold anything back. She straight up that she's bisexual, but when in a relationship she's committed to the person. She also says that the only thing she doesn't completely shave is her hair, which most people would be embarrassed of telling people. I mean honestly if you would have never told me, I would have always thought the Amber was light skinned black girl and I love it. Sorry Kim Kardashian, but Amber Rose is taking your spot in my heart.

NFL News

First off it's Brett Favre not Bret Farve; people check your spelling. Anyways, Favre has signed a two year $25 million contract. He will be getting $12 million this season and $13 million next season. but the bad thing about this whole ordeal is that the Vikings has stated that they will be trading Tarvaris Jackson before the beginning of regular season. I think they will definitely regret letting Jackson go after Favre is a flook or when he's gone and they don't have a back up.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall says that he does not trust the Broncos management. He said he has no problem working with scout team while he plays to get back to Pro Bowl form. What is really bothering him is the way the Broncos handled his acquittal on misdemeanor charges last Friday. In his comment on the matter, he said after Wednesday mourning's practice that he was disappointed a member of the team's public relations staff told his teammates not to gloat over his acquittal in an Atlanta courtroom. Marshall, who wants to get traded or a new contract, also said the directive has fostered distrust between him and the team. I just hope this whole situation doesn't turn out as bad as it already has.

Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens will be sitting out until next week because of a sprained toe injury. According to the Bills head coach Dick Jauron, T.O. isn't expected to come back until sometimes next week. I don't think it's that serious personally, I just think T.O. doesn't feel like practicing so this is his excuse for right now until the season starts. But, I guess we will have to see until when the season starts how good he really is.

The Miami Dolphins has a new fight song, well a remake of the original fight song. The new one is sung by T-Pain and can I say being form Miami I hate it. During the first preseason game and the Dolphins first touchdown, they played the new song and the crowd started booing like crazy. First off T-Pain isn't even from Miami so why is doing our fight song, second if you are going to remake a song, make it better not worse than the other. One thing I love about Miami, when we hate something, Miami knows to change it real quick.

More NFL news on the way.

Miami Heat News

Since I am such a huge Heat fan, I thought I should speak my mind on the actions the Heat have been taking this off season and all the news around the Heat.

Let's start with the most recent news. The Heat traded center Mark Blount for guard/forward Quentin Richardson. Can I say this is one of the worst trades I can think that the Heat made. Why do we need another guard/forward on the team? We have enough of those already, they should have traded for a center since they don't have a permanent one on the team. I know this may sound mean but, I think Quentin is worse than Blount and I would've kept Blount way before I would go and acquire Quentin. And don't get me wrong, i love Quentin I do, but not for Miami. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Dwyane Wade said he isn't rushing to sign with the team and he is waiting until he knows that the team is a contender. Then, also everybody keep making a big deal that he just bought a home in Chicago. Why is that so important? I don't know why, he just wanted to buy a house in his hometown. So what! I think the only thing that is keeping him from coming back next season is himself. If he would just sign an extension, the Heat will be able to go out and get other players cause they will know how much they have to waste on him and how much they will have to waste on other players.
But, I honestly don't think Dwyane will leave if doesn't have to. Think about most of his business is in Miami. His charity is huge down here, Miami loves him, they even call Dade County, Wade County just to show how much we love him down here, and of course we made him who he is right now. Like he said, he loves this city and he would love to be here forever. Let's just hope it happens; don't need him forever just when our youngsters become better.
Since the Heat couldn't get Lamar Odom, they need to rush on the Allen Iverson deal before he is also taken away. Iverson would be great with our team, even though I believe he will be backup to Mario Chalmers, but when Chalmers is slipping (which he rarely did last season), Iverson will be their to back him up. It would be a great point guard duo (if there is such thing of that).
Here is a complete list of there current roster right now as we speak:
50. Joel Anthony
30. Michael Beasley
25. Patrick Beverley
6. Mario Chalmers
14. Daequan Cook
9. Yakhouba Diawara
4. Robert Dozier
40. Udonis Haslem
22. James Jones
21. Jamaal Magloire
7. Jermaine O'Neal
11. Chris Quinn
5. Quentin Richardson
3. Dwyane Wade
1. Dorell Wright
(They also have Luther Head who is a free agent at the moment)
Lets just hope this roster will go HAM this season and we will make it the Playoffs and past the first round. I'm still mad at the fact that we don't have Jamario Moon this season. Miami is so cheap that we can't seem to afford these players and top what other teams are offering.

Brett Favre to Sign with Vikings

When the physical comes back, it will be official. Brett Favre will be back in the NFL as a Minnesota Vikings. He will sign a contract worth between $10-$12 million. Favre arrived at Minnesota earlier today and is in the Vikings facility as we speak right now. Head Coach Josh Childress, has confirmed the whole ordeal in an e-mail to the Associated Press, asking if the whole plan was to sign Favre; Childress replied. "In a perfect world."

Favre's mother, Bonita, told the Biloxi Sun Herald that her son would be practicing with the team on Wednesday. ESPN analyst Cris Carter, reported the Coach Childress already told the Vikings organization that Favre will be starting in Frday night's preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

If I was Tarvaris Jackson, I would be extra mad right now. This was supposed to be his season to come out and become the starting quarterback, but now he has to fight for second string instead of first. It must really suck right now to be a quarterback on that team, I would feel as if the team doesn't trust me enough to win games so they had to go and get a 39 year-old man to do the job. That's my opinion, but I want to hear yours. :)

Michael Vick in Madden 2010

For everybody getting ready to go out and get Madden 2010 tonight, I will advise you to STOP, and wait for the new and improve Madden. Since Michael Vick just signed with the Philadelphia Eagles last week, the creators of the video game are going back in and putting Vick in the game as an Eagle. This is according to Rob Semsey's twitter; Semsey is the Senior PR Manager for EA Sports.

Vick hater or not, waiting for the new and improve Madden 2010 to come out would be better. Everybody knows if you're a video game fan put aside the personal vendetta against people, you want the best of the game that you are playing. So, you know for a fact I will be waiting for the new Madden 2010 to be done. Sorry Gamestop, but you won't catch me in you store tonight buying Madden 2010. I wonder what they're going to rate Michael Vick this season? I guess I will have to wait and see. :)

Shaun Ellis Suspended and Fined $100,000

New York Jets defensive end, Shaun Ellis, has been suspended without pay by the NFL for the season opener and fined $100,000 for violating league's substance abuse policy. Ellis was arrested in November and charged with possession of marijuana, speeding and driving without insurance (who does that now a days), in Hanover, New Jersey.
"I wasn't surprised. I knew there was a possibility of that. The league made a decision. That's what I have to go by and I have to accept it.It hurts, it's a situation that happened last year and for it to carry on into this year, it's kind of tough. I just wish I would've been able to have dealt with it last year. This year is just going into things fresh with that behind me, but it didn't happen that way. I just have to learn from this mistake and move on; just put it behind me and get ready for Week 2." Ellis said after the morning practice at SUNNY Cortland.

Without Ellis for the season opener, means that the Jets will be without two defensive starters. In July, linebacker Calvin Pace, was suspended for four games without pay for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances (always the linebacker).

Shaun Ellis was speeding on the morning of November 29, 2008, when he was pulled over, according to police, he was asked for registration and insurance, but was uncooperative. Hanover Township Police Captain Shawn Waldron, said Ellis willingly turned over the marijuana when the officer smelled it in the car and Ellis said he had smoked some the night before. Waldron also said Ellis had less than 50 grams on him, making it a disorderly-persons offense in New Jersey.

Athletes need to learn that they need to stop going out and acting a fool. Yes they are still normal people, but not that normal because they are athletes with money and people know who they are. So, that means they need to be careful of what they do when out, because like it or not every athlete is a role model even if they don't want to be. And also it is a privilege to do what they do and to be in the league. It can always be taken away from you in the snap of the finger, and I don't think you want to learn that the hard way.

Brett Favre

On March 4, 2008, Brett Favre formally announced his retirement from the NFL. On July 29, 2008 Brett Favre filed for reinstatement with the NFL and was granted reinstatement on August 4, 2008.Then on July 28, 2009, Brett Favre informed the Vikings officials and the rest of the NFL world that he will remain retired. And now on August 17, 2009, http://www.foxsports.com reports that a couple of unnamed Vikings players said that Brett Favre will probably be officially signed by the 3rd preseason game. Anybody surprise about this story??? Anyone, anyone, I know I'm not. I mean what else is he going to do, stay home at his farm and cut grass or whatever; I think not and he still has a little something left in him. I think if he comes back, he will see that he should have just stayed retired.I wonder how the other quarterbacks on the team feel about this story.I just hope all of this won't ruin the Vikings chance of making it to the Playoffs. Instead of worrying about a person that's not on the team, they should worry about the players they have right now and decide who will become starting QB with the ones they have at the moment. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. And you know I will keep you guys posted on this story.

Detroit Lions

Now the Detroit Lions gets there own post cause they are that special for right now. Yesterday the Lions won the first preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, which really doesn't matter, you gotta regular season games not preseason games. So far they are reminding me of last season in which they won all of there preseason games but lost the most important ones; the regular season. Right now they're on a 0-17 run since the 2007-2008 season.

I'm really hoping that this season the Lions actually win a game or two. They have improved their roster with drafting Matthew Stafford with the first overall pick in the draft in April. Also of course they have quarterback Daunte Culpepper, and wide receiver Clavin Johnson; just naming people that I know and we all know. And hopefully with these players and the others, they can finally end their losing streak.

So with two good quarterbacks equals two good quarterbacks fighting for starting position on the team. And can I say that I don't care how long Daunte has been in the league, the position is wide open for any one of them. But stats will show who should win and also the chemistry with the whole team is a huge factor. You don't want a player who the team doesn't trust to lead it, you need a guy that the team can trust to win games. But, back to stats on these to QBs, we will mae it fair and just compare it to the preseason game they played so far. Matthew had 7 completions out of 14 attempts for 114 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. While Daunte had 5 completions out of 6 attempts for 41 yards, 0 touchdown and 0 interceptions. But that is only the first preseason game, don't know what goes on during practice. So, I guess it all depends on the coaches decision.

News Around the NFL

Rumor has it, if Plaxico Burress gets signed to a team, he will be suspended for a minimum of 8 games. Goodell doesn't want to suspend him for the whole season until he knows further details of Plaxico's case and what will happen to him. So, if Plaxico is found guilty, of course not only he will serve time, but he will be gone for the whole season and maybe more. But, we're not going that far right now. Teams are not taking any risks just yet until they officially know how long he will be gone. You don't want to sign someone that will be gone for the whole season, waist of time and money.

I guess we won't know until it happens. But. believe me I will keep you guys posted for a fact on this story.

In sadder news, but very predictable, Goodell has suspended Donte Stallworth for the whole 2009-2010 season. It's not surprising because Donte did kill a man and will have to live that fact for the rest of his life. But, it still wouldn't be fair because Donte did kill someone and Michael Vick just killed dogs, so if Michael is out for a whole season then it's only right that Donte is too. Hopefully, Goodell will give him a chance when he comes back and reinstate him after. For his team the Cleveland Browns, the head coach, Eric Mangini, said he is not sure of Donte's future with team, and he will have to wait and see what happens.

Michael Vick had his first practice yesterday with his new and improve team the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Andy Reid said he was very impress with Michael, and that he did better than what he expected. It was good also because the Eagles are know for their West Coast style offense in which Mike played when he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Coach Reid still says that Mike is the third string quarterback for the team, but I think that will change soon.

Some people in Philadelphia are still not happy with the signing and some are happy because they see as a good deal for the team winning a Super Bowl. But, most people are just waiting to see what Mike does and are not picking sides just yet. In a poll http://www.philly.com/, about 83,000 people voted in which they thought the signing of Michael Vick was good or not; 51% said yes and 49% said no (this was the second highest poll they had after the poll question do you believe in God). I'm with everybody who is just waiting to see what Mike has in store for, but I can say I am leaning a lot with people that are happy with the deal. I guess we will have to wait until August 27 to see him play and see how good he is, If not preseason, then we will have to wait til Goodell reinstates him. You know I'm waiting and we will definitely keep you guys posted.
