Miami Heat News

Since I am such a huge Heat fan, I thought I should speak my mind on the actions the Heat have been taking this off season and all the news around the Heat.

Let's start with the most recent news. The Heat traded center Mark Blount for guard/forward Quentin Richardson. Can I say this is one of the worst trades I can think that the Heat made. Why do we need another guard/forward on the team? We have enough of those already, they should have traded for a center since they don't have a permanent one on the team. I know this may sound mean but, I think Quentin is worse than Blount and I would've kept Blount way before I would go and acquire Quentin. And don't get me wrong, i love Quentin I do, but not for Miami. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Dwyane Wade said he isn't rushing to sign with the team and he is waiting until he knows that the team is a contender. Then, also everybody keep making a big deal that he just bought a home in Chicago. Why is that so important? I don't know why, he just wanted to buy a house in his hometown. So what! I think the only thing that is keeping him from coming back next season is himself. If he would just sign an extension, the Heat will be able to go out and get other players cause they will know how much they have to waste on him and how much they will have to waste on other players.
But, I honestly don't think Dwyane will leave if doesn't have to. Think about most of his business is in Miami. His charity is huge down here, Miami loves him, they even call Dade County, Wade County just to show how much we love him down here, and of course we made him who he is right now. Like he said, he loves this city and he would love to be here forever. Let's just hope it happens; don't need him forever just when our youngsters become better.
Since the Heat couldn't get Lamar Odom, they need to rush on the Allen Iverson deal before he is also taken away. Iverson would be great with our team, even though I believe he will be backup to Mario Chalmers, but when Chalmers is slipping (which he rarely did last season), Iverson will be their to back him up. It would be a great point guard duo (if there is such thing of that).
Here is a complete list of there current roster right now as we speak:
50. Joel Anthony
30. Michael Beasley
25. Patrick Beverley
6. Mario Chalmers
14. Daequan Cook
9. Yakhouba Diawara
4. Robert Dozier
40. Udonis Haslem
22. James Jones
21. Jamaal Magloire
7. Jermaine O'Neal
11. Chris Quinn
5. Quentin Richardson
3. Dwyane Wade
1. Dorell Wright
(They also have Luther Head who is a free agent at the moment)
Lets just hope this roster will go HAM this season and we will make it the Playoffs and past the first round. I'm still mad at the fact that we don't have Jamario Moon this season. Miami is so cheap that we can't seem to afford these players and top what other teams are offering.
